I'm not overall sure of the cause, I think it happened a few times in the overworld but it was very noticeable in the Bastion Remnants in the Nether. I'm not sure which factors are and aren't related but here's what I did:
I was in 20w16a, creative mode, with autojump on, in the cramped bastion remnants. Sometimes a jump into a cramped block would trigger my view to sink down as if I was sunk a block deep. This happened several times until I checked F5 and found the swimming animation to be active as this was happening.

I have this issue as well.

Since this hasn't gotten much attention, anyone else sharing the issue I would appreciate adding their own screenshots... my black and gray character against the blackstone isn't exactly a clear image

Duplicate of MC-177970

I have this issue to. It keeps happening on random. While I'm mining, chopping trees or just jumping. Can't figure out what is triggering it.

This may be because you are Elytra-crawling your way around, I don't use auto-jump because it's a nightmare, and I never experience this, so I'm not sure how to help you.

I never use auto jump and don't have elytra. I really hope they manage to fix this. It's very annoying.

this is not a bug,checkhttps://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Suffocation_prevention
