With the redstone changes taking form in 20w18a, here's an issue with redstone behaviour that's annoyed me for a good few years now.
When redstone dust is close to a redstone torch (especially a wall torch) and connects with it, there's still a significant gap between the dust and the torch, making it not really look powered by said torch. A picture of a suggested way to fix this issue is also attached, which would make the wiring look properly connected to the torch.
This may be considered a feature request, but as the focus recently is to make redstone more visually intuitive hopefully this can be considered an issue and taken into account to make redstone more friendly and understandable to newer players.

What if it's a wall torch, and no block under the toch, the redstone gets powered, render the dust like this would be visually unacceptable.
