When looking thru the world select screen some worlds will not appear and cannot be selected even if the world is in the saves folder.

Minecraft saves can corrupt for many reasons, most likely mod usage or computer crashing. Please try to use these instructions to recover your world: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Recover_corrupted_saved_world_data
