Falling quickly and throwing a projectile will cause it to hit the player. Very likely unintentional. This was not present in 1.14.4 or 1.15.2.
How to reproduce:
Teleport yourself to a great height.
Switch to survival
Throw an Enderpearl / Shoot an arrow
❌ You hit yourself.
