When picking up an item, rain renders ontop of all other layers including solid blocks. In the video you can see me dropping rotton fresh, when i pick it up the rain is rendered even though im underground.

The issue is not that rain goes through the blocks, it renders rain thats on the surface through the blocks. I think the render layer of rain appears ontop of everything when the item is picked up.
yes, this is not todo with the world and is todo with the render engine. Ive tested on a new world aswell and the same issue occurs
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
