[MC-186007] Dragon egg can teleport over end portal, failing in, and dissapearing

after i beat the ender dragon i tried to get the egg but it teleported over the portal and fell in i searched by my spawn point and basically everywhere but its missing its gone from the end as well making the achievement 'the next generation' impossible

I think that this is intended behaviour, because the OFFICIAL guide to the Nether and the End tells you to cover the ent portal up so that you don't lose the egg. It is also common knowledge - the dragon egg is a gravity-affected block and will break if it hits a non-full block (EG end portal).

How does it make that ~~achievement~~ advancement impossible? (I'm assuming that that's what you mean)

If the Dragon Egg goes through the portal, it should be at x=0, z=0 in the Overworld.

Someone was able to reproduce the bug, illustrated in MC-227627, I think this bug should be reopened then.

Apparently both this and MC-227627 duplicate/clone MC-86106, which was resolved as WAI. However, this was confirmed "plausible" before being resolved as "cannot reproduce". Maybe one of the tickets should be reopened so a Mojang employee can decide whether this is intended behavior.
