Did you see the pictures? This bug only happens when there's other translucent blocks behind the particles behind translucent blocks. And unlike MC-186074

It's not particles rendering in front of translucent blocks, but translucent blocks rendering in front of particles.

Affects 1.16 Pre-1.

I also explained why it's not a duplicate, can it get reopened please?

Is MC-186538 the same issue as this? (except with clouds ofc)

Seems like it is. I've merged this into MC-186538, that ticket is already triaged and confirmed.
