Unable to place blocks

I am unable to place blocks of any kind in survival nor creative mode. I've notice this happens a lot when I am going on and off a boat. I can still destroy blocks and switch tools. Also am unable to see the blocks in my hand even if I tried to place them. As soon as i close out the game and reload it it will be back to normal but then it all repeats again. Not sure if this is because it isn't fully out yet but hopefully it helps get things fixed if any thing is wrong or if it's just me.
