When you are moving in a boat and jump out, your character acts like they are still in the boat. You can not use tools, place blocks, eat, etc... You can't even get back in the boat.
Logging out then back in or travel through a portal returns you to normal.

I could reproduce the issue with all directions and it only applies to boats, when your hand starts going into the rowing animation is when the issue appears. If you weren't rowing before going off the boat the issue doesn't seem to appear.
Can reproduce, pressing the forward key while unmounting is the trigger, if the boat is stopped before exiting work correctly.
can reproduce while moving at "walking pace" can reproduce while "sprinting" in a boat then getting out while in that state with my hands hidden. i can mine blocks but i cant damage the boat, i havent tried attacking a fish yet. if i stop fully it works normally.
Dying also fixes the problem, but I don't recommend it. Problem also occurs while moving in any direction when you exit the boat. Occurs on both land and water.

Reproduce by jumping out of a boat while it is still moving (pressing 'w'). Visual of hand is not there and cannot see anything in the hand. Unable to 'use' items, however can dig. On digging the tool is rendered briefly.
