The resolution of MC-36762 is just an assumption by a bug report moderator. I do not think this is intentional because there's no real reason to only raise a northwest log. Just because it exists in the code does not mean it was intentional, and it kind of ruins the beauty of 2x2 taiga/jungle trees from above. It's not a game-breaking bug that needs to immediately be fixed by any means, but it's been around for a while and communicating it to a developer would be the best way to resolve the unintentional/intentional debacle.
Hoglins take full knockback as well, despite having 0.6 kb resistance.
Happens even for mobs that don't fall through powder snow, such as zombies with leather boots or silverfish, which means pushing these mobs on top of powder snow breaks their pathfinding completely.

Ocelots are underneath the monster spawns category in the biome file for jungles. To fix this bug, all they need to do is move it to the passive spawns like every other animal is in. I ran some tests with custom biomes, and Peaceful mode stops any mobs from spawning that are inside the monster spawns category, even if they aren't a monster at all.
The candle will only duplicate if the player's hunger bar is full when they interact with the candle cake. If they have less than full hunger, they'll remove the candle from the cake as intended.
I believe this is intentional. You have to hit the lower parts of a mob to do a sweeping attack, and if you hit too high up you're telling the game that you don't want to use a sweeping attack. It's a pretty useful feature, to be honest.
Not a bug
The biome is located within a Minecraft folder, so you'll have to run /locatebiome minecraft/kohreth:cursed_lands
I don't think this is a bug. Multi-noise doesn't ever pick a value for any parameter above or below +-2, so if it has 256 it won't generate at all.
Also, if this happens you can't get out of the menu and are stuck there forever, even if you die (at least that's what happens on Nintendo Switch).
I've seen this happen when a player uses an emote while another player is switching their skin. Probably more ways to cause this bug.
Dying also fixes the problem, but I don't recommend it. Problem also occurs while moving in any direction when you exit the boat. Occurs on both land and water.
This issue is not resolved as of 1.16 Prerelease 1. Don't how how to replicate it, try flying around the Nether for some time, but I found multiple striders spawn like this.
Also, floating striders can't ever change their Y position from stepping up blocks. Levitation can change their Y position, but it doesn't fix the problem.
All piglins I encountered also had offset heads in the same direction, but only the first time I loaded a world in 20w22a. I think the first time you load up 20w22a, the heads are offest, but any time you restart the launcher the heads go back to normal. Not sure why though.

It's not a bug, it's just how slimes work. Magma cubes do it too.
Piglins and Hoglins don't automatically fight on sight like other mobs. They are supposed to fight every one in a while instead of all the time, otherwise the crimson forest would just be a bunch of free porkchops and leather.
You could workaround it by running /weather rain 1. This sets the weather to rain for 1 tick, which means the weather will naturally go to clear, which seems to last much longer than running /weather clear. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
