Piglins no longer have a unique helmet model and texture to fit their wider heads

In 1.16 Pre-Release 2, Piglins had a unique helmet model and texture to fit their wider heads.

However, in 1.16 Pre-Release 3, Piglins now uses the same helmet model as players as a result of MC-172110 being resolved through the removal of the Piglin helmet textures instead of creating a new turtle shell texture.

Can confirm. I attached two images for comparison between 1.16-pre2 and 1.16-pre3.

It’s a huge shame that Piglins now use the player helmet texture instead of their own unique helmets.

Yes, because the custom helmet textures were designed so there is no texture where the piglin's ears are, so it looks like there is a space for it's ears. With the change, it makes the ears clip through the helmet.

But, for some reason, the leather cap still has a custom texture on piglins.

@Mister Redeminator That's no longer the case in 1.16 Pre-4

I get that it’s a hassle to create 2 helmet textures every time a new set of armor gets added, but the gold helmet should have been kept because Piglins naturally spawns with it. And because custom entity models are not supported on Java Edition, anyone who liked those textures cannot get it back with a resource pack.
