This felt too specific to be a bug.

fixing this would reduce this blocks’s effectiveness as a storage block.

I thought this was an intended feature

I get that it’s a hassle to create 2 helmet textures every time a new set of armor gets added, but the gold helmet should have been kept because Piglins naturally spawns with it. And because custom entity models are not supported on Java Edition, anyone who liked those textures cannot get it back with a resource pack.

Well now Vindicators raises both of their arms like a Zombie when attacking without a weapon.

@CalXee They probably couldn’t get Jappa to make a new texture so they decided to do it the easy way.

It’s a huge shame that Piglins now use the player helmet texture instead of their own unique helmets.

@CalXee It introduced MC-188553, which removed the unique helmet texture for Piglins and changed them into the normal helmet textures that players and other humanoid mobs uses.

The outer layer of the Piglins are still not correctly aligned to any animations outside of walking or idling.

They have fixed this bug by removing all the other the unique helmet textures designed for Piglins.

This happens regardless if the effected Piglin had danced or are any near dancing Piglins. The one showed in the attachments are freshly summoned with no AI.

Why is this marked working as intended?
