The Warden's sonic boom attack sometimes doesn't fire correctly when fighting mobs outside of its attack range

When I was pitting the Warden against the Ender Dragon, I noticed that most of the time, the Warden's attempt to fire a sonic boom to attack the dragon fails, with only the ribcage opening and no sonic boom produced.

I noticed that this only happens in situations where the Warden's attack could fail, and only successfully fire the sonic boom when it touches the Ender Dragon's hitbox.

How to reproduce:

  1. create super flat world

  2. /summon ender_dragon

  3. spawn a Warden in using a spawn egg

  4. observe the Warden's attempts to fire its sonic booms at the Ender Dragon.

Can confirm in 22w15a. The warden will start to charge its attack, but won't fire if you manage to leave the warden's attack range in time.

This doesn't affect only ender dragons, it affects all targets that leave the warden's attack range.
