"Fullscreen Resolution" scaler does not work correctly, instead the game is displaying at a much higher resolution than the settings say

Hi, I have a pretty low end machine, and I play Minecraft on it, So to improve framerate I set my in-game resolution to 576p, to still get a 16:9 ratio and good framerate. I had 0 issues until a few days ago. My resolution was set to a really weird resolutio: 1008p, I didnt set it to this resolution so I had no clue, I tried it on other resolutions to see if it affects those one as well, the only one that works is 1080p, but it kills my framerate, When I set it to 720p the resolution switches to 1280p, I provided screenshots, I hope there is any way to fix this.

Thank you.

Please make sure you exit the menu by pressing "Done" instead of using "ESC" key

I can confirm this, setting the Fullscreen Resolution to 1920x1080 sets it to 2566x1512 on a 4K screen, definitely something off going on.

Cannot reproduce in 1.20.1 with a 1440p monitor on fullscreen. Resolution changed as expected for me when using the slider.

Are you still able to reproduce this yourself? I still am unable to in 1.20.2-23w40a.

I'm seeing the same or a related problem with Minecraft Java 1.21.1 with KDE Plasma 6, plasmashell 6.1.5, kwin 6.1.5, Wayland session, Linux kernel 6.11.2, AMD Radeon Graphics (radeonsi, renoir, LLVM 18.1.8, DRM 3.59, 6.11.2-0-edge) (0x1638) with Mesa 24.2.4. I'm not using mods since this is a fresh install of Minecraft.

When I go fullscreen, then use the slider, then press "Done" at the bottom, the mouse is immediately offset in a very incorrect way. It seems like the game thinks something changed. However, the resolution stays the same and seems to be the native screen resolution still.

When after that I toggle to windowed and then back to fullscreen, the mouse offset is correct again but the slider now still shows a low resolution while I'm still using the high resolution.

In conclusion, whatever function is actually changing the screen resolution doesn't seem to be working.
