Walking onto or jumping onto soul sand pushes the player out of it onto the block next to it. This does not happen if there are blocks on every side of the soul sand (including if the other blocks are soul sand. Removing any of the blocks next to it will slide the player off to that side. It also doesn't push off items or other entities.
