The Bug
Silverfish have the ability to to infest all stone type variants except smooth stone. This creates an inconsistency of what blocks silverfish can infest.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a large, flat area of smooth stone

    /fill ~20 ~ ~20 ~-20 ~ ~-20 smooth_stone

  2. Summon a silverfish

  3. Attack it

  4. Repeat steps 2-3 a few times

Observed Result:

The silverfish will never infest the smooth stone.
