Cannot place fungus, roots or nether sprouts on soul sand

Soul soil can support these blocks, so why can't soul sand?

Perhaps a new block tag could be added for fungus blocks to determine what they can be placed on, much like how bamboo does. This logic could be extended to several other plant blocks.
