backed up my 1.15.2 world, then loaded it and opened in 1.16. mipmap level is set to max (4) but changing it to any value does nothing- it does not appear to work any more. all the textures seem to individually swim around on each block. my nvidia gtx drivers are up to date and so is my windows 10.

here are some snips- one is looking a bit into the distance, the other is a few blocks in front of the player. both wiggle with movement, is nauseating. i have never had this problem in java before, have been playing since 1.14.

additionally: i have tried many combinations of in-game vanilla graphics settings and nvidia driver settings, none have worked. i run the game in 1080p 75fps. this issue is highly noticeable when the player is moving.

Is this something that has started happening in 1.16 or has it also happened in 1.15.2?

this was not at all occurring in any of my 1.15 worlds on any versions or servers including realms, no. it became very noticeable just today, immediately upon loading 1.16 in a world for the first time.

Please post your video settings screen as a screenshot.

Please also provide a screenshot with your F3 debug screen enabled in-game.

You're a few driver versions behind, update them, and while doing so, please do a "Clean install".

issue persists.

I actually can see a clear difference in the last snapshot with very clear mipmapping, so what are you referring to?

(also, i must say thank you for the driver advice, i truly thought i was up to date, i had just run an update before posting this bug in an attempt to check all my own boxes first)

i am referring to the textures during movement. i am seeing (in the further distances moreso) oval shaped pixelated ringlets across large areas or what looks like a heat haze/mirage. my monitor is clean and undamaged. it just seems like a weird sort of stuttering/squiggling, as if the world generation has had too much caffeine. i am currently investigating further, i may be able to provide a screen recording. I have also taken a break and come back to look at it again with fresh eyes- It is still very noticeable. I also dont think it is screen tearing. regardless, it is distracting.
