Pet Ownership is UUID based, causing issues when offline mode is used

Please point at the cat and run /data get entity <cat's UUID> (UUID should be an auto-completion option), and send us a screenshot of the result while you have your F3 debug screen enabled, along with your in-game username.

Did you tame the cat while the game was set to "offline"?

what do you mean offline?? i have been feeding it anytime i can. even when hearts appear, it doesnt move. i hit the wolves and fed the again. literally nothing is working. also the wolves growl when i hit them even though they are sitting. they dont growl when they are my pet AND sitting. do they? and why are they still sitting if they arent my pet?

i havent gone offline for days so i dont think so. my laptop is always connected to internet. also, im on singleplayer, not on a server. so idk how internet can mess up that. 

Basically, the UUID of the cat's owner is not your own UUID. This only happens if you are either using a different Minecraft account (which is not the case here as that UUID is not connected to a valid username), or use the launcher's offline mode. Alternatively, have you maybe used the world for local multiplayer?

Yes i used local multiplayer to turn on cheats a few times. So how do i tame my pets back? If they are stuck sitting. Do you consider this a bug since they are definitely stuck without moving?

Please do fix this since, this might happen to anyone who turns on local multiplayer. I need my pets 

so my friends pet cant get up too. and she didnt even use local multiplayer. so why is this happening if she didnt do any of the things i did? her wolf is tamed and sitting but wont listen to her.
