I have a teleporter contraption that stores tp commands and coordinates in command block minecarts. It has worked pretty well teleporting me across my normal creative world. I have set up several custom dimensions since 1.16 came out and I have no problems teleporting to them using the /execute command in chat and in standard command blocks, however, the same cannot be said for command block minecarts. The following command works in a command block but not command block minecarts:
execute as @p in custom_dimension:hermitcraft2 run teleport @p -3596 80 1319
command block output: "An unexpected error occured trying to execute that command"
Having tried variations of the syntax, the teleport either doesn't work or my game crashes and gets stuck on "loading terrain". No useful information can be found from the game output or crash logs. I am not sure if this is an issue with the custom dimensions or with the command block minecarts. I have spoken to several people in the community and they say it may be a bug.

Here is the Launcher Log, I don't know how much difference it will make, I have been watching and it doesn't show any sign of an error in the log itself, this is the log directly as/after the error occured:
