The bug
If you give yourself two stacks of non-stackable items by using /summon item (for example, diamond chestplate) and then hover over one of the stack and click left the player will be left over holding 127 diamond chestplates. You cannot place them anywhere.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been deliviered.
Confirmed in 1.15.2 and 20w20b.
Note that you do not need to left-click and right-click at the same time. The issue occurs when simply right-clicking on one stack while holding another stack.
Can confirm in 20w48a. I've attached a video to help people better reproduce this issue. I simply held one stack of the chestplates and clicked on the other and then the bug occurred.Â
Confirmed happens with all unstackable items.
