Inconsistent movement inside command block text field

Steps to reproduce:

  1. type a long text line inside a command block, spanning multiple screens

  2. click at the most left symbol
    → it jumps one screen

  3. click on the most right symbol
    → it doesn't move

I can confirm for 1.16.3

I can reproduce this issue on 1.20.1 and 23w33a. Note that it affects all text fields.
