Blindness + Night vision effects seem to have multiple ways of displaying, presumably based on the GPU.
A maze of ice in the void at lowest levels was used for testing.
Attached are results and F3 overlays on 3 different systems.
PC1 - the map is black and white, sky is white to the sides, but pitch black above. All solid blocks appear as pitch black, ice appears half transparent black.
PC2 and PC3 - the game looks as it should with just blindness applied. Expected from prev. Minecraft versions result of totally black screen did not appear.
The map was also tested on 1.16.1, where it resulted in the expected pitch black screen.
I'm currently gathering more data, specifically looking for more AMD gpus.
