Hello,
So when I pull up the launcher, I will hit play and the launcher screen will be removed, but nothing ever pulls up after that,
and I will go back and hit play again it tells me "game already running"
I've tried a few things and everything not been working, and I don't know what to do, my computer and the launcher both say the game is running but there will ever pop up for me.

Your game is modified with Optifine. Optifine is a very heavy game modification, and using it will automatically invalidate reports on the bug tracker.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla game environment, please create a new ticket - this is a bug tracker for the game, and not a support website.
