[MC-20289] Crashes when trying to join server

What I expected to happen was...:
SHOULD HAVE JOINED THE SERVER

What actually happened was...:
MINECRAFT CRASHED

Steps to Reproduce:
1. CLICKED ON MULTIPLAYER
2. STARTED TO JOIN SERVER
3. MINECRAFT CLOSED

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
