structures blocks max out at -48 distance

so for some reason the structures blocks when going from 0x to -48x and does not go higher than -48. this is a huge problem as i am doing a build that requires the value to go higher than -48

is their anyway to fix this cause i am needing to improvise my build

I'm having this issue as well. rather silly issue in my opinion, as the save block is technically only 5 blocks away from the structure bounds in my case (i know it calculates from the root of the bounds).
We should be able to place the save/load block at least twice as far as the max structure size, from any direction. Easy fix? Change the max offset to 10 chunks (~160blocks, the typical render range (or use raw binary 255 max))?

EX:

  • structure in my case is 47x22x47 (with corner blocks placed at opposite 3-dimentional corners (2 Corner blocks))

  • place the structure SAVE block on the SOUTH or EAST side of the structure bounds, more than the 48-blocks from the 'root' of where the corner blocks define it (in my case 5-blocks farther south than the edge of the structure)

  • click DETECT and the bounding box is 4 blocks south of where the corner blocks define it. (not a visual glitch, since showing invisible blocks/air shows the bounding box to be true to the 4 block offset

this is a huge issue for me as on a friends realms i was building a working movie theater and had to max out at 100 frames out of the 102 so their is no longer a "The End" at the end of the movie. really annoying if i do say so myself

You can save structure blocks into structure blocks. Remove them afterwards and your good to go.

i guess but since its all wired up now i kinda just want it to be updated so i can just extend it

@Iosiv, I think that you are misunderstanding this issue. It is to do with the maximum offset when saving a structure, not the maximum structure size.

Thanks for clarification,MMK21

well i originally thought this was a bug when i first discovered it. but thank you for clarifying

put another structure block in your build that is triggered by an observer block facing air, the other part of the structure when loaded should delete the observer and the structure block that loaded the other part, just use this method, does not work well with rotations.
