Missing water in trapdoors in taiga villages, causing mobs to become trapped in them

The Bug

Trapdoor decorations in taiga_decoration_1, taiga_butcher_shop_1, taiga_masons_house_1, taiga_temple_1 and taiga_tannery_1 do not have water inside them.

To Reproduce

  1. Execute the following command, replacing (structure_name) with the name of the affected structures:

    /setblock ~ ~ ~ structure_block{mode:"LOAD", name:"minecraft:village/taiga/houses/(structure_name)",showboundingbox:1}

    For example:

    /setblock ~ ~ ~ structure_block{mode:"LOAD", name:"minecraft:village/taiga/houses/taiga_tannery_1",showboundingbox:1}
  2. Open the structure block GUI and click on "Load" twice.

  3. Observe that the trapdoor decorations are missing water.

Expected Result

Trapdoors decorations in taiga villages should have water inside them.

Did they ever have water in them?

The taiga_decoration_1 had until 19w02a. The problem is that these water troughs are empty and it traps mobs (mainly villagers). This is the last possible chance to fix it.

It sounds like a feature request, but it actually seems to be an oversight. It'd be weird if these villagers being stuck forever inside these decorations is intended.

Confirmed for 1.17. Several villagers (and even cats!) spawned in these troughs and can't escape. 

One even spawned inside a building, as seen in the second screenshot!

Are you sure these are even suppose to have water in them? Water is such an odd choice. I believe they were suppose to have Grass Block in them with a flower on top. The trapdoors surround the Grass Block to make it look like a small garden. It fits and looks much better than water

@unknown, bro fill them even with bedrock, I don't care, just make villagers not stuck in them so whole village dead in night one

There's actually 2 distinct issues in 1 report here:

  1. The structures no longer have water

  2. Mobs get stuck behind open trapdoors

I highly suggest splitting off the AI part from this report.

I'm aware, you're missing my point. The report should be reduced to fully focus on the lack of water that used to be there, the AI is of no importance to the issue. (Remove last line from "The bug" section, and modify summary to not direct to mob AI.)

I think it could be Grass with flowers, but the 3-block long decoration (taiga_decoration_1) would have water, as it was originally planned
