When logging into the game, all the text on the buttons, multiplayer chat, anywhere where text is to be found, text is scrambled, and unreadable. Other times the text is fine, but the mouse is way off. (Hovering over a button dosent activate it until i move a certain distance away from it)

You are not using a resourcepack of any sorts?
I have a few installed (my custom one which i used the tool at mojang to update, and one for an adventure map) but to be sure that is not affecting it i used the default reasourse pack to make sure its the client.
