Minecraft authentication server issue

So I recently bought Minecraft and used a code to get my Minecraft but every time I try to play on a server I get a issue saying that I failed to log in and that the authentication servers are down but they are not down when I check the server status it doesn't allow me to join any servers or change the versions of my Minecraft
