Can confirm in 21w07a.

May I suggest for the title to include 'horizon' or 'black horizon'?
I was just about to report the issue, as I didn't find this ticket before, and was pointed here by a helper on the discord!

fixed in 21w11a
Can confirm that this issue has been fixed in 21w11a. You are spawned at negative coordinates however, no "dark horizon" can be seen.
Just an question, this was fixed, but why is this not in the changelog?

Jamie Bucarey It was probably fixed as a result of another bug being fixed / Mojang wasn't aware of the bug or the fact that it was fixed.
In addition, many of the presets should have an additional 64 layers added to them so they are consistent with their default counterparts. Details are in the linked bug MC-215423.
I think it odd that it was resolved as a duplicate. This is more of a visual issue rather than world gen, as Classic Flat has always generated at the very bottom of the world.
