if you sit on a strider that stands on lava and place a boat such as he would sit on when the boat is destroyed you will not be on the strider and somthing weird happens.
when you press shift the game will teleport you to the strider and you will fall to the lava.
when you do this you cant destroy blocks that are more then 5 blocks away from the strider.
but you can place blocks at at least 8 blocks away.
if you travel like that you cant take damage.
if you travel to the end of the loaded chunk then the game wont load any new once.

Hello!
I just thought I would let you know that the "Environment" field is meant for details such as your operating system, the version of Java you are using, etc., not just that you are playing on Java edition of Minecraft. If you don't know it, it is not a required field so you can leave it blank.
Thanks! 🙂

This appears to be a form of client-server desynchronization. The server thinks you are still on the strider, while your client thinks you are elsewhere. You cannot break blocks further than 5 blocks away because the server calculates your reach based on your server-side position.
Please provide some steps on how to go about reproducing this issue. Also, attaching some additional screenshots and/or videos of this problem occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled, would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks 😃
Is this still an issue in the latest release?
