One of the four sounds for breaking some deepslate blocks emits a short high-pitch sound which makes repeatedly mining through deepslate annoying. This might have been unintentionally implemented as some people won't be able to hear it due to its high pitch.
How to replicate: Turn up your volume and repeatedly break deepslate blocks.
Affected blocks:
Deepslate and all its ores
Infested deepslate
Cobbled Deepslate and its stairs, wall, and slab
Polished Deepslate and its stairs, wall, and slab

I personally have never noticed this issue with Netherrack or Calcite and still don't, which just goes to show that only some people can hear these issues. Unfortunately, I don't know how to access the audio files for so I can't show anything.
Yeah, i haven't checked if netherrack still does that, and i can't tell for calcite or deepslate as it requires an analysis. You should be able to find how to access audio files if you search on google, there's plenty of guides on how to do it.
I think this one should work for you:

Can you please provide a sound sample of this happening along with an analysis of the sound frequency
I updated the description to include the exceptions since those bugs were fixed. I'm afraid I can't provide an analysis of the sound as I don't know how to do it, could someone else?
Is this the same behavior as MC-178932 ?
