I've been playing on a survival world with my sister and upon trying to retrieve fish for both of us, she found that the fishing rod can't cast. Not even the hook was coming out - it made the sound but nothing happened.
Is this a bug or a new feature?

The same issue is happened to me, the fishing rod doesn't work, it makes noisy use, but the item in the hotbar does not update and the line does not appear nor you can fish
