While working on a Jawi translation project, I found out about this when testing
Now that Malay with Arabic script (Jawi) is in the game, the statement above is no longer relevant...
The Bug
The characters only available in Jawi, which is "چ", "ڠ", "ڤ", "ݢ", "ۏ", "ک" and "ڽ", doesn't connected with the normal Arabic characters
Example 1 ("چ", "ڤ"," ڠ", "ڽ")
"چاري، ڤلاين، بردڠوڠ، ڽاوا" rendering as "چـاري، ڤـلاين، بردڠـوڠ، ڽـاوا"
Example 2 (ۏ)
"سيۏا" rendering as "سيـۏـا" (+ an error, since the ۏ shouldn't connect with the ا after it)
Example 3 (ݢ)
"ݢڠݢم" rendering as "ݢڠݢـم"
Example 4 (ک)
"کوچيڠ" rendering as "کوچـيـڠ"
Example 5 (ڬ)*
"كڬرمن" rendering as "کـڬرمن"
*in Jawi script we don't usually use the arabic form of the letter ك and ڬ, but use its own form which is ک and ݢ, but it would be nice to see this also be fixed as well
Reproduction Steps
Copy "چاري، ڤلاين، بردڠوڠ، ڽاوا" | "سيۏا" | "ݢڠݢم" | "کوچيڠ" | "كڬرمن"
Paste it into the Minecraft chat
❌ The Jawi characters doesn't connect to the other characters
("چـاري، ڤـلاين، بردڠـوڠ، ڽـاوا" | "سيـۏـا" | "ݢڠݢـم" | "کوچـيـڠ" | "کـڬرمن")
I know that Jawi hasn't been officially supported yet, but it would be nice to see this get fixed
Now that Jawi has been supported officially, I really hoped this would get fixed soon... But who knows I guess...

For language issues, go to the crowdin project

This has nothing to do with Crowdin. It is a text rendering issue, silly.

Combined the ۏ example + added the ݢ example into the original issue post

Now that a Mojang employee actually saw this, I want to add one final example which I forgot to add, which is for the "Jawi Kaf" (ک), which is different from the normal "Arabic Kaf" (ﻙ)
And highlighted the affected letters to make it easier to detect

Is the text unreadable if they don't connect? I don't know any of these languages, so to me this sounds similar to the connection of the latin letters ffi. Those letters are not unreadable if they don't connect.

@Jolan van Hoof well it's not unreadable, but its not easy on the eye to look at, especially when you know that these letters should be connected...

It seems that on my computer the characters are being rendered left to right in the chat before I press Enter. But I can still reproduce this issue after the text is sent.

@unknown it's not only on your computer, it happens on mine too

Just found a bug that is probably the same as this one, but with Persian letters (MC-188274)
