Just found a bug that is probably the same as this one, but with Persian letters (MC-188274)
Still happening as of Release 1.19.11 and Beta/Preview 1.19.20.24
@unknown it's not only on your computer, it happens on mine too
@Jolan van Hoof well it's not unreadable, but its not easy on the eye to look at, especially when you know that these letters should be connected...
I feel like I need to add some info to this bug report, so sorry for the bump
This bug is still an issue in 1.18.12
And it not just affects the three places that mohamed elmakhloufi mentioned, it effects everything with Arabic letters, including the GUIs
Tested with the Translations for Minecraft pack
[media]As seen in this screenshot, some appear properly, thanks to a workaround, and some doesn't, like the "الموسيقى و الاصوات", which appears as "تاوصالا و ىقيسوملا"
Workaround
This workaround has been used in some Arabic language packs for a while now
For this I will use the translation for the "Keyboard & Mouse" (الکيبورد) button for the example
Write the word like this "ﺩﺭﻮﺒﻴﻜﻟﺍ", instead of "الکيبورد"
The word will show in-game as "الکيبورد" instead of "دروبيكلا"
Yeah, a pretty annoying workaround, but that is the best you can do 😞
Even though I'm not a native Arab, it would be really nice to see this bug get fixed
Now that a Mojang employee actually saw this, I want to add one final example which I forgot to add, which is for the "Jawi Kaf" (ک), which is different from the normal "Arabic Kaf" (ﻙ)
And highlighted the affected letters to make it easier to detect
Also happens with Malay translations of the "Glow and Behold", "The Healing Power of Friendship!" and the "Is It a Bird?" advancements...
For more info see MC-226968
Oh is it? Thanks for informing!
Couldn't find an report about this before reporting
Combined the ۏ example + added the ݢ example into the original issue post
I think I have a explaination for this anomaly (this might be completely wrong though)
Since Bedrock suffers from the Arabic text bug (MCPE-102971), some (if not all) Arabic translation project utilizes tools to make it render properly in Bedrock, such as this converter
From what I understand, the converter flips the letter order from right-to-left to left-to-right, and then do all the other conversions stuff... The converter actually flips the entire text, instead of doing it for each sentence... I think this is why the order of the text are "upside down", it's because the last word in the entire entire has now become the first word in the entire text since the order is flipped if that makes sense
Comparison (take note the position of the 1 & 2 marker) (copy the Converted Text and put it after /say in a command block to replicate this in-game)
[media]So it's most likely a problem on the converter's end, as I have tried replicating the bug with a pack that didn't utilize the converter, and it work just fine (attached to the bug report). The first line starts with لن تتمكن and the second line ends with إنشاء عالمك as it was in the original text
