The Bug
When flying around in a single biome birch forest hill the world proceeded to fail to render and load causing visual issues such as black flashing lines and some strange triangles. These can be seen in the video and images below.
Note
After loading back into the world everything reverted back to as it should be though despite that fact this could still potentially be an issue just with no reliable reproduction steps

It looks like in MC-225063 the chunks are failing to load while in this one yes the chunks fail to load but also visual tearing of the worlds textures happens
For sure. The rendering error didn't happen in mine but the rest of it looks the same as what I saw, where only part of a single chunk would render. I couldn't see the end stone but I could see the top of the obsidian end spike
Even though I know that the new 1.18 snapshot isn't valid on the tracker I still feel that it should be stated I was able to reproduce this in that snapshot it also resulted in an OpenJDK crash
Same as in the the 1.18 experimental snapshot happened in 21w37a the world rendered strangely with black lines then OpenJDK crash. though the crash might be a different issue caused by this
@unknown can you please provide some images of this occurring if you can have you debug screen enabled that would be helpful as well to diagnosis this issue
I don't know if it's the same issue actually, it might be just some really delayed chunk loading on my part.
Looks a lot like MC-225063. Not a duplicate but the chunk loading issue is something to be looked at, as it is probably related.
The screenshot on the MC-225063 is a pretty horrible representation of the issue, when I first experienced it, it was only loading the top part of an end pillar and nothing else was loading.
