FPS spike when looking around

Whenever I look around in game, massive FPS drops to 1FPS or less. Have performed all basic troubleshooting: changing allocated RAM values, setting game priority to high in task manager, uninstalling + full reinstall, changing file path/install location, changing number of cores that were used, tried different versions of the game, checked for driver updates, etc. When moving completely straightforward WITHOUT TURNING, there are no frame drops or performance issues at all, the issue only occurs when I turn left or right in game. Additionally destroying blocks would cause FPS drops.

Could you send a screenshot with the F3 Debug screen open?

@DogEatingSpaghetti I uploaded a screenshot of the debug. With regards to the RAM allocation: I have set up the JAVA argument to allocate 4GB but it still says 2GB allocated in debug, unsure what's up with that.

I can confirm that this is an issue in 1.17.

Please attach a performance report. The report can be generated by pressing F3+L in-game.

Adrian I have uploaded the performance report zip. During the 10 second window I moved around in game recreating several actions that recreate this issue. Please let me know if this report is sufficient or if I need to generate another one with more specific instructions/actions performed. Thank you!
