[MC-231578] cut copper slab aging extremely quickly

I have this cut copper slab in my world. In a minute it went from a regular C.C.S to a exposed C.C.S to a weathered C.C.S. Idk why it happened

C.C.S means cut copper slab

Copper oxidation is reliant on random ticks, and affected by the randomTickSpeed gamerule. Can you verify that it is set to the default of 3?

Sometimes I change random tick speed, but at the time it was set to 3

In that case, please provide a video of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled and also whilst the randomTickSpeed gamerule is set to 3.

If it only happened to one copper slab, it could be that you got lucky with the oxidation. (The game has a tiny chance of oxidizing each copper block each tick.)
