I tried using the /locate mansion command in my server. It says it found a mansion somewhere. Bu when I teleport there, there is no mansion. If I use the /locate mansion command again, it detects one very far away than the first one. If I teleport there, there's no mansion either. This is happening after updating the server to 1.17.1

I'm like 95% sure this is the same issue as MC-129036 with several people in the reply's talking about non generated strongholds
World Type: Default(was generated in 1.16.5)
No additional Generation Settings
Seed: 3346373486014953634
I don't remember the coordinates / dodn't list it before.
I used chunkbase to find one and I successfully found one. Only the most nearest mansion was missing. and I also didn't get a pillager outpost on my first try using /locate command. The second time worked surprisingly.
Since you mentioned that this is happening on your server, are you using Paper as the server mod?
This appears to be similar to MC-232320.
I'm also unable to reproduce this issue in 1.17.1. After running the "/locate mansion
" command, it gave me the coordinates of where a mansion was located and no issue was apparent.
@unknown, could you please try generating the world in 1.16.5, run the command, and then upgrade it to 1.17.1 and run the command again? It might be an old generation issue in 1.16.5 (which would make this ticket Invalid), an upgrade issue in 1.17.1, or it could just be not reproducible at all.
Hi @unknown, sorry for the late response.
I generated a world using the appropriate seed provided above by the reporter in 1.16.5, and ran the "/locate mansion" command to find that it was successfully executed. I then upgraded this world to 1.17.1 and ran the same command again, only to experience identical results. To conclude, the "/locate" command functioned correctly even after upgrading from 1.16.5 to 1.17.1. 😃
We do not have enough information to reproduce this issue.
Please provide the following information about the world you are playing in as text. Attaching a screenshot showing them is not enough.
World Type:
"Default" if you have not chosen one when creating the world.
For "Superflat": Additionally provide the generation preset.
For "Buffet": Additionally provide the generator type and biome you have selected.
Additional generation settings (in case you changed them): E.g. "Generate Structures", "Bonus Chest", ...
Seed: Can be obtained by using the
/seed
command and clicking on the message in chatCoordinates: Can be copied to clipboard by pressing
