When using a firework rocket, whether on the ground or on a crossbow, the rocket will fly up for a second, then disappear in a white smoke.
What I expected to happen was...:
The rocket to explode after a few seconds or to explode on contact with an entity.
What actually happened was...:
The rocket disappears without an explosion.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a firework rocket from creative.
2. Use rocket on the ground (no explosion).
3. Load firework on crossbow.
4. Shoot firework (no explosion).

Ok, I have figured it out. Normal firework stars without any dye added will not explode. The stars in the creative menues are blank and will not explode.
Why did you have to report this? Fireworks with no firework charges will not explode and therefore, disappear into nothing. WAI.
I used a firework star to make the rockets. I didn't know you needed to add dye to them to make them explode. I thought it would just explode in white or grey, It was a flawed user experience.
If you used the star of the creative inventory, this is intentional. Duplicate of MC-53745.
I can now confirm that it is also the same on Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
