[MC-233249] DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bluescreen while playing 1.17.1

I've been experiencing bluescreens displaying the error code DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL while playing Minecraft Java Edition 1.17.1

I'm using an AMD Radeon RX 570 gpu and the latest drivers for it. The bluescreen happens several minutes into playing and for no apparent reason.
