While i was playing Minecraft Java on my laptop i succesfully killed the ender dragon but the the advancement still didn't show up on my screen pls fix this bug or ill be sad forever D:

You can also light tnt (with flint and steel), and it counts as a kill for you, yet damages you with pvp off, so it's definitely possible to do.
Make sure cheats weren't ever on. Even if you turned them off it still wont work, same with gamemode c. Make sure you also dont own the achievement on your account already.
Does MC-165919 describe your issue?
Were you using beds to kill it? Bed is not a weapon, and Minecraft won't recognize that you using beds to kill it. Similarly, even if you close "PVP" option, using bed in the nether or the end you'll still be hurt.
