This bug happened again in 1.21

It also happened in my world. Howerer the altitude difference was far lower than 12. Maybe that's a decimal.

This situation is more common than before, since 1.20 snapshots.

Can confirm in 1.20 pre-2. The server showed a warning "Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 10560ms or 211 ticks behind", and then spawned an empty treasure map.

Today, this situation occurred near 10 times in my vanilla server.

Though it's not serious problem, it will influence the experience of new Minecraft players who are playing 1.20 in the future, while they find that those mobs won't drop any xp balls at all! So please fix it as soon as possible.

Not completely same with MC-108704, more likely a relative ticket.

This issue isn't caused by Minecraft. It is caused by outdated third-party launcher, so it's not supported by Mojang. The Minecraft doesn't have any problem here. Please use official Minecraft Launcher, or download the latest third-party launcher, or contact developers of the third party launcher for supports.

@unknown As for PCL2, it hasn't been updated yet, if you are also using this.

That's fine as long as Minecraft itself doesn't have any problems, according to comments in this ticket.

@unknown There may be some mistakes both third-party launcher and Minecraft itself. Both of their mistakes causes this issue. Such as, I guess, the third-party launcher adds the invalid arguments, and Minecraft cannot analyzing these arguments and causes unexpected results (opening the Quick Play). The expected results is, Minecraft won't do anything if the arguments are invalid.

Unsupported worlds (21w13_a_or_b) can be selected and deleted now in recent snapshots.

Somgtimes I think, it's because the drop height doesn't reset to 0 while zombie jumping on the surface of turtle egg.

It's my mistake, I actually set to the peaceful mode. The game is running correctly.
