[MC-236434] minecraft appears as demo minecraft when i already purchased minecraft

when i load in minecraft from the default and open it to go into multiplayer or singleplayer it wont let me because it says that i have the demo version. this affects 1.8.9 but Jira wont let me put it with none or 1.8.9
