I was exploring the new biomes. When I found the border to the new world, I found this weird shadow. It was a big black square covering the mountain border. I tried mining the blocks it covered and it split up. I don`t know where it came from, maybe some chunk error. Please fix this bug, I would be very thankful. Please respond if you have found out what it is.
Sincerely,
Ivan

I know about the chunk error, but I saw other similar chunk errors, and I knew they would show up if I load the snapshot. Most other chunk borders are normal, but this one had this weird shadow. Where does it come from? I mean, the border had all normal lighting, except this black square. My theory is that it is a lighting error or that a cave was supposed to be there. What is your theory?
This is similar to MC-170010.

It appears that the shadow is on the border of a chunk error so I believe it is due to that.
