Using the spawn egg on a tree if close to the tree makes horse glitch through the tree or suffocate in the tree. This was claimed to be fixed in 1.6.2 but it still exists.

the horse was red on my monitor not sure what happened with the screenshot.

Cannot reproduce. Right clicked a horse rapidly so he jumped into wood planks, horse did not suffocate. See 2013-07-08_07.20.50.png for the design I used.

@Neospector spawn him in a wall or tree

Confirmed. If the horse is spawned next to a solid block, it can be pushed in or just walk in by itself and start suffocating.

A chunk load can also trigger this, I have returned to my stable to find horses partly in the wall and then accidentally pushed them further in and killed them. The rarity of name tags makes this especially galling.

Evil, evil is his one and only name

I just had this happen in 1.6.4. I left a horse in the Nether, and when I returned, it was glitched partway into the wall it had been standing next to and was taking damage.

I thought i would bring this back to life as it still exists as a bug in minecraft

how is this a duplicate of a bug about spiders?
