make a 3 by 3 by 3 hole in a mountain and replace the walls with wood make sure there is stone behind the wall. if you take the new hay block and place it on the ground or against any of the walls when you break it the wood block behind/ above /below it will turn to stone for a sec before reverting back to the wood block. i belive this is a graphical glitch and not really a major issue

I don't think this is actually a bug. Its was something that I beleive was implimented by Mojang to reduce the block load time back in 1.4 (i believe).

Basically it gives all blocks in the chunk its correct ID, but anything within stone will render as stone until it becomes visible to the player in which it will then pull the proper texture. it can be seen when you mine ore deposits and there's even a slight bit of lag as its only a split second that minecraft needs to pull the proper texture.

Modded servers have that as anti X-Ray measure.

What mods does your server have ?

no mods just vanilla minecraft and i will attach the crash reports and the screenshots i took once im back at my home computer cant do much while im at work.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
