The magma cube UV map has random sections that are not used in the model at all.
The images attatched show:
1. The unused art selected, and colored
2. The unused art selected
3. The default UV map currently used
The top right bit seems to be left over from the devs presumably copying the slime texture (which has 3D eyes) over to use as the magma cube, along with unused bits of lava, and a bit of a mess in the rop left area.

You missed a couple of them at the left cube, which correspond to the eye height of the cube (leaving left and back side textures unused; the front/right are used due to overlapping UV mappings, see MC-225367), and additionally you accidentally highlighted a used part of the lava cube: the bottom face.

I'm assuming this is an issue in 1.17.1 as well?
