This is the version of Java that is installed on my PC. Figured that this is the information that it asked for when it stated "Java Version". If Minecraft uses a different version than what I have installed then it's default as I've never changed it. Sorry for the confusion.
I believe this is a duplicate of MC-237155, resolved as "Won't Fix".
How are u using java 8 in 1.18?
