Stalagtites and stalagmites wont grow with lava source

the pointed dripstone wont grow with a lava source above it, instaid of a water source.

dripstone is impossible to grow with a nether challange now,

can you fix this so you can grow dripstone in the nether too?

This is probably because of the dripstone functionality where when you have a block, and a lava source abone a downward facign dripstone, it slowly drips lava.

Since stalactites in the real world grow with water, I think it is intentional that they do not grow with lava in minecraft

and isn't this more of a feature request than a bug?

its not about the dripping in a cauldron, lava particles when lava is above it and makig lava, and in overworld water above with cauldron making lava, that part works fine,

its about the growing of the pointed dripstone itself. the stalagtites dont grow when a lava source is above them, instead of a water source.

so now its not possible to grow dripstone in the nether.

i was pointing out and hoped that it can be changed, so you would be able to grow it in the nether

the lava flows through it in the cauldron, just like the water.

so it would be logical to me that that forms pillars to with lava

oh and im reporting it as an bug, becouse if you google dripstone,
multiple articles come up that says stalagtites and stalagmites are formed with water OR lava source block above the dripstone

Well, that's 100% the mistake of the people who wrote those articles, and not Mojang's fault.
They never grew with lava above, and it matches real life, this is definitely intended, altough I do not have a source of mojang saying so.

Hi! This could be why. There are what are commonly known as stalactites. There are several types of them, including stalactites (yes, they are also called stalactites), stalagmites, and (too many to mention) lava speleothem.
stalactite is a dripstone (down)
stalagmite is the dripstone (up)
Both are created by the action of water.
Lava speleothem is indeed made of lava, but dripstones in Minecraft are not of this type, so mojang's decision to prevent dripstones from growing due to lava was based on real-world stalactite formation.
(I don't usually speak English, so there may be a lot of strange parts)

so,, as its atented for now, how can you submit an feature sugestion? becouse its realy a shame i cant farm it now with my nether challange world. (specialy, slightly salty after googling if it worked with lava, and then spending almost all my resources making a farm with 276 observers and hoppers)
